(OPINION) Todd Starnes – Governor Mike Huckabee issued a scathing indictment of Chick-fil-A – condemning the restaurant chain for turning its back on Christian ministries and embracing the LGBT community. Huckabee was at the front of a national effort to defend Chick-fil-A in 2012 when the company’s founder was attacked for defending traditional marriage.

Company executives recently announced they will no longer provide charitable funding for certain Christian ministries like the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes after militant homosexual groups protested. Instead, the company has decided to focus on education, homelessness, and hunger.

Let’s be clear, folks — Chick-fil-A capitulated to a bunch of leftist hate groups. “I am sick that they have now completely abandoned the convictions of Founder Truett Cathey and decided to sell out believing they will be ‘loved’ by the left if they sell out their loyal customers and friends and placate the very people who hate them,” Huckabee declared.
