(FW) – In what owners called a “promotion near and dear to our hearts,” a South Carolina car dealership is throwing in something extra with the purchase of a vehicle: a Bible, American flag, and a voucher for a gun. The Carolina Ford dealership in Honea Path, South Carolina, said it would give away the Bible, flag, and a “Smith & Wesson AR” with all vehicles purchased in October or November.
Derrick Hughes, the dealership’s general manager, told WHNS-TV that customers would be given a $400 voucher for the firearm to be redeemed at a nearby gun store. The store would run background checks on anyone who wishes to use the voucher, according to WHNS. And if someone declines the voucher, the dealership will deduct the price of the gun from the vehicle sale, Hughes said. READ MORE
