A giant crack measuring more than 400 meters long and 4 meters deep opened up at the border between Tláhuac and Milpa Alta, two of the 16 boroughs of Mexico city, Mexico on May 10, 2018. The day after, the same water main broke up again forming a huge sinkhole, that narrowly swallowed up a nearby house.
Officials are investigating if there could be a link between the water main break, these geological events and the strong earthquake of September 19, 2017. A large crack nearly 400 meters long and four meters deep damaged at least five houses after the rupture of a potable water pipe. READ MORE
