Daylight fireball explodes over Oklahoma and Texas, Sonic boom reported
A daylight fireball was recorded streaking Oklahoma and Texas around 21:16 UTC (16:16 CDT) on March 13, 2018. The object turned ‘blindingly bright’ before it disappeared and was followed by a sonic boom. Numerous residents across central Oklahoma and northern Texas reported a ‘shaking boom’ shortly after 16:00 CST yesterday.
Several hours later, a video emerged showing a very fast daylight fireball over Plano, northern Texas, leading authorities to conclude it as a source of the boom. The American Meteor Society (AMS) received 36 reports about this fireball. Eyewitnesses described the object as light blue to green.
