Adults who didn’t grow up in intact families and those who rarely or never attend religious services are more likely than others to have cheated on their spouse, according to a new study. The study, “Who Cheats More? The Demographics of Infidelity in America,” found that the rate of infidelity among those who attend a worship service at least once a week or several times a month or a year is 14 percent, as opposed to 19 percent among those who attend a religious service once a year or less.
A person’s political identity and family background are also related to whether or not they cheat, said the study released last week by Wendy Wang, director of research at the Institute for Family Studies. Fifteen percent of adults who grew up with both biological parents have cheated on their spouse before, compared with 18 percent of those who didn’t grow up in intact families, pointed out the study. I don’t know who participated in this survey. However, I cheated on my wife whilst attending church regularly. Only when I surrendered my life to Christ, the cheating stopped. NOT CHURCH GOING SAVED ME FROM MY ADULTEROUS WAYS, JESUS DID. I have not attended church in 6 years, and I am under the protection of GOD, JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. HOLY SPIRIT wants to live in us (see 1 Cor. 6:19-20), because He does not live in walls made by human hands (i.e. Church buildings) (see Acts 17:24-25). My Saturdays meetings with my brethren, on the streets, at home are enough for Jesus to be in our mist. “But how do you learn from the Scripture if you don’t have a leader/pastor/church elder who has experience to guide you?” you may ask. Dear reader, we never needed them to begin with, our own laziness has led to this messed up system of believe and faith. The WORD is clear, when you truly surrender you receive the anointing of the HOLY SPIRIT and He teaches you things, as and when you are walking with Him daily, reading Scripture, praying, fasting etc (see 1 John 2: 27).. Pastors are suppose to lead you to the Scripture, not to make you keep on coming back to them for some “hidden” truth, the truth is in Jesus…
