If you live in the Carolinas, you may have experienced a severe storm system that moved through your area last night producing what is being reported as “Baseball-Size” Hail. In some areas, the hail resembled snow covering the ground. Sources indicate that Hail the size of golf balls was reported near UNC-Charlotte. However, the hail was even larger in South Carolina.
Locations near Greenville, South Carolina reported baseball sized hail that shattered car windows in some neighborhoods. I personally know of one individual that lives in Cleveland, TN that also experienced this same system that moved through his region and produced large and damaging hail as well.
