(Ron Cantor) I woke up at 4 a.m. unable to sleep. I have been wrestling with a nasty head cold. I turned on the television, and there was breaking news. Donald Trump was bowing out of the final debate because Fox News made fun of his temperament (quite funny) and will not ban the “unfair” Megan Kelly from the debate panel.
Fat Pigs and Slobs
Trump labels her as “unfair,” because she asked him a 100 percent legitimate question. Remember. “Mr. Trump, one of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and you don’t use a politician’s filter. However, that is not without its downsides, in particular, when it comes to women. “You’ve called women you don’t like “fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals.” Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women’s looks. You once told a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president, and how will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who was likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women?”
Trump was clearly offended. How dare Megyn Kelly—a woman!—ask him about stuff he actually did say and write. If anything, Kelly was preparing him for similar attacks that will certainly come up in a general election. Too Politically Correct?
Trump responded by saying that the country is too politically correct. Well, I certainly agree, but I see politically correct actions as things like gender-neutral bathrooms or forcing a photographer to work a gay wedding. Trump seems to think concern over him calling women “fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals” is being politically correct. Indeed he took to Twitter to blast Kelly, whom he had previously praised as an excellent journalist. Overnight, she became “stupid,” “a bimbo” and “unprofessional.” CONTINUE
