Spain deployed 250 soldiers on Sunday to help rescue hundreds of drivers who were trapped overnight in vehicles as heavy snowfall cut off several roads. Two companies of specialist soldiers and 95 vehicles were sent to free hundreds of cars stranded on the AP6 highway linking Madrid and the northwestern city of Segovia.
