Chairman Mahmoud Abbas sent letters to a number of government leaders around the world, asking them to ensure that US President-elect Donald Trump does not follow through with his stated goal to move the US embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. “Spare no effort in preventing the US embassy from moving to Jerusalem,” Abbas told the leaders of several
countries, including Russia, China, France, UK, as well as to the European Union, the African Union, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
