Two jurisdictions under the United Methodist Church have nominated openly homosexual candidates for bishop despite prohibitions against such appointments. Karen Oliveto, David Meredith and Frank Wulf were all nominated during the meetings of the Western and North Central jurisdictions last month,
with their nomination being publicly announced earlier this week by Reconciling Ministries, a homosexual advocacy group that professes to be Christian. Executive Director Matt Berryman asserted that their nomination of the three was led by the Holy Spirit. FULL REPORT
The Holy Spirit never leads contrary to the Word of God!
Need I say more
Madness. The first requirement for th bishopric is to be blameless. The second is to be the husband of one wife.
This type of trash is why the UMC is loosing members. Born and raised in the Old Methodist Church
but this type of missed judgement is why my family and I left over ten years ago.
True Christ followers will not adhere to evil. What will be their message to the LGBT***? How do you explain away so many verses? What are you telling people about sin and Jesus if you start with.. “I give up on this whole Biblical view thing.” Is Jesus no longer bigger than sin? I get it, Jesus IS love and He wants us to love, but lying to people is NOT love. If you only speak part truths to a hurting world, you end up with a hurting world.
It’s a truth far too many don’t want to hear.
Any “Christian Church” that supports marriage outside of a man and woman needs to stop referring to themselves as Christian.
goodbye methodist sellout profane the word of God now bye bye
Evidently this is not a Christian Church.Or their doctrine does not use the word of God!
