For some time now, I’ve been warning about the coming storm of religious persecution and oppression in America. Over the course of the past year, I’ve become increasingly convinced that the storm is no longer just approaching, it is hard upon us. The threats to the historic and sacred history of our nation’s religious liberty are advancing on several prominent fronts. At press time, we are awaiting the Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage. Many expect the judges to rule against the once universally held definition of marriage as between one man and one woman. Some are hoping that the court will refer the matter to the states, where the will of the people and conservative values have resulted in the defeat of same-sex marriage in 31 states since 1998.
