In anticipation of his forthcoming visit to the Middle East, President Trump has indicated that a significant announcement is imminent.
This statement was made during a bilateral meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Although the specifics of the announcement remain undisclosed, President Trump underscored its positive nature and significance.
He stated, “We are poised to make a very, very substantial announcement. It will be monumental… It is going to be significant and it is decidedly positive…
This announcement will be made either Thursday, Friday, or Monday prior to our departure.” The President further clarified that the forthcoming announcement is not necessarily related to trade matters.
In addition to discussing the announcement, President Trump addressed ongoing negotiations with China.
He noted that China is eager to engage in discussions and meetings, despite the current suspension of business activities between the two countries.
President Trump attributed this hiatus to the inefficacy of the previous administration, which resulted in a loss of $1 trillion to China in trade.
He emphasized that the current circumstances are preserving this amount for the United States, given that China’s economy is experiencing significant challenges due to the decline in trade with the U.S.
