(OPINION) ETH – A Washington school district has reportedly come under fire after a first-grade teacher has been accused of pushing transgenderism on students while the school board president, who runs an “all-ages” sex shop, reportedly remained silent on the issue.

The report details that Jennifer Miller, assigned the children the book, “I am Jazz,” which goes into details of the journey of a 2-year-old biological male transitioning to a female with parental support.

“Did you read this book to 1st graders today?” one upset parent asked in an email, noting that “gender dysphoria is a diagnosis listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.”

“Yes, I did read this book,” Miller replied. “It is available in our school library as part of our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion collection. As a district, we are working hard to support all members of our school community and promote inclusion through understanding and compassion.” Despite complaints from parents it has been reported that School officials, including the board, did nothing about the issue.
