(OPINION) ETH – Hundreds of Christians can be seen gathered outside a Canadian church that was recently placed on lockdown by the Canadian government where even the pastor was arrested for defying COVID laws.

The Church was locked down and enclosed by fences and standing guards by the Alberta Health Services who said it “physically closed” GraceLife Church and will be preventing access to the building until “GraceLife can demonstrate the ability to comply with Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health’s restrictions.”

However, A video has surfaced of faithful believers gathered outside the building singing hymns and spiritual songs while others begin to physically remove the fencing that had been erected to keep them out.

The pastor, James Coates, had previously been arrested and held over 35 days simply because he refused to comply with the government and was reportedly charged with violating the Public Health Act.
