(OPINION) Todd Starnes – Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is the latest on the Left to cancel children’s author, Dr. Seuss, accusing him of racism. “I’m not going to prescribe how it gets resolved, but there’s no place for racist imagery, racist language, in 2021 for our children,” the Democratic mayor told Breitbart News Thursday night.

“This is not about canceling,” Garcetti said. “This is about standing up against blatant racism where we see it and just making sure that no longer is part of our canon … people can take pages out or change them …”

His comments come as Dr. Seuss Enterprises announced they will cease sales of six of the author’s children’s books over alleged racist and insensitive depictions.

Dr. Seuss Enterprises told The Associated Press that And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, McElligot’s Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super!, and The Cat’s Quizzer will no longer be published due to “hurtful” depictions in the books. READ MORE
