Prayer to Open 117th Congress was Delivered in Name of Monotheistic God, “Amen and Awoman”

(ETH) – The 117th Congress just opened with a moment of prayer delivered to a “monotheistic god.” We ask it in the name of the monotheistic god and the god known by many names and faiths,” Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) prayed. “Amen and A-Woman.” and not the Lord God almighty.

The prayer to open the 117th Congress ended with “amen and a-women.”

Amen is Latin for “so be it.”

It’s not a gendered word.
