(ETH) – A powerful magnitude 6.2 earthquake has struck the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia according to a report from Express.
The quake struck at around 2.28 am local time and had a depth of 10km (6.21 miles) with the epicenter northwest of Parepare with a population of 140,000.
The earthquake was reportedly and felt in nearby Sulawesi as well. Local news outlets reported the earthquake “may have caused light to moderate damage”.
