(OPINION) ETH – An extremely rare snowfall took place recently in two desert locations this past week and has sparked excitement among some who claim these events are actually a sign of “Bible Prophecy” coming to pass in the form of the words of Isaiah the Prophet who stated:
“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool. – Isaiah 1:18
According to Israel365News, snow and freezing temperatures struck southwest Saudi Arabia’s Asir Province for the first time in 50 years with temperatures dropping below -2 °C (28.4 °F). However, snowfall also came to the Algerian town of Ain Sefra which is known as the Gateway to the Sahara recently as well.
The report revealed that was the fourth winter straight that reports of snow or ice came to this region. Previously it had not been for 37 years since Ain Sefra’s last snowfall. This was once considered to be a rare occurrence but the rate of snowfall appears to be happening more frequently now,
In fact, although the Sahara is typically one of the hottest places on Earth it actually snowed there last year as well. These rare weather patterns are being considered a sign of the Messianic era to some as they claim the prophet Isaiah speaks repeatedly of deserts blooming in his description of the end of days and that these strange occurrences with snow in the desert is a sign of God’s mercy and forgiveness
