Powerful magnitude 6.3 earthquake strikes south of Philippines’ Luzon island

(ETH) – A powerful magnitude 6.3 earthquake has reportedly struck the Mindoro region of the Philippines according to Reuters.

The earthquake was centered at a depth of 144 km (89 miles) and was felt in the capital region with the center of the quake being traced at Calatagan in Batangas province. No damage or injuries has been reported and aftershocks are expected.
