(ETH) – Police in Philadelphia have reportedly taken two armed men into custody near the Pennsylvania Convention Center, where ballots are still being counted according to a report from Fox News.

Philadelphia police are saying the men were armed with guns and allegedly drove into the city in a Hummer from out of state. The arrests followed a previous report of police thwarting a potential plot to attack the convention center involving an armed group traveling from Virginia.

Meanwhile, Social Media giants, Facebook and Twitter Facebook are working overtime to purge the platforms of fast-growing groups in which supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump have reportedly posted violent rhetoric, and what is being deemed as “baseless claims” and potential violence after a contentious election.

One of these groups called “Stop the Steal” group, called for “boots on the ground to protect the integrity of the vote,” was adding 1,000 new members every 10 seconds and had grown to 365,000 members in a day. “The group was organized around the delegitimization of the election process, and we saw worrying calls for violence from some members,” a Facebook spokeswoman said.
