(OPINION) ETH – A woman by the name of Darlene recently shared her miraculous encounter with the Lord over 48 years ago to Express, Where she claims she briefly died in the hospital after suffering a ruptured appendix and ovary cysts.
The story was first shared with the Near-Death Experience Research Foundation (NDERF). In Darlene’s own testimony she stated: “I was sick for a long time. Despite seeing numerous doctors, nobody had a diagnosis. “On Friday, I was taken to a different town with different doctors. “Saturday morning, the doctor came in to check on me and found that I needed exploratory surgery immediately.”
After being treated by physicians, Darlene stated that she could feel her body floating upwards. She felt no pain and was surrounded by lights “like watching the aurora borealis”. It is then that she said that after floating upwards, the pain returned and she felt week again. She then goes on to state that she saw the form of a man take shape before her.
Darlene said: “He was bending down slightly and I could see where the bright light was coming from. “His face was so bright, it almost took my breath away. I knew then that I was looking at Jesus. “I could see the hem of His garment and His sandals,” Darlene claims she reached out to touch him and felt a warmth flow through her body.
She continued: “The next thing I knew was that I was in my bed and I saw a soft glow at the end of my bed. “I heard a soft voice singing the song I Saw a Man. It sounds like the version by Connie Smith.” It was immediately after this incredible experience that, Darlene said her vitals returned to normal. It was then that Darlene believes she was miraculously healed by the power of God.
