(ETH) – Idaho continues to shake, rattle and roll with aftershocks following the March 31st event that registered a magnitude 6.5 according to the USGS. The latest strong aftershock to shake Boise occurred around 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday night according to a report from Idaho statesman.

Wednesday’s earthquake registered as a magnitude 4.6 making it the second-strongest aftershock recorded in the region thus far. The March 31 earthquake registered a 6.5 magnitude, and was reportedly the second-strongest in Idaho history and was centered in the mountains 19 miles northwest of Stanley.

According to the USGS, The strongest aftershock registered a magnitude 4.8 and occurred about 35 minutes after the main quake. There were 4.4s on March 31, May 13, and May 21. Six more have been magnitude 4.0 or larger, and there have been hundreds of smaller quakes. The latest strong aftershock arrived with a short shake and a brief pause before a stronger shake that lasted several seconds.
