DEVELOPING: (KIRO7) – Multiple people were shot by a man armed with an AR-15 style rifle at the Westgate Entertainment District, a large shopping mall northwest of Phoenix. Police confirmed that at least two people were shot Wednesday evening at the shopping center in Glendale. A suspect is in custody, according to police.

Glendale Police later sent an update on Twitter indicating that the active shooter situation had ended.  Arizona State Senator Martin Quezada was at the mall during the shooting. He said that there were multiple victims and the shooter used what he believed to be an AR-15 rifle in the attack.  READ MORE
