(ETH) – No more fun in the sun for you if you live in California. That’s because Governor. Gavin Newsom is set to announce that he is closing all beaches and state parks in direct response to the crowds that gathered at beaches last weekend, particularly in Orange County.

According to reports, multiple law enforcement agencies have told NBCLA Wednesday night that the governor is set to make the announcement this Thursday. The report from NBC Los Angeles stated that a memo was sent by the California Chiefs Association to law enforcement agencies across the state ahead of the expected announcement.

According to this memo that was provided it detailed that the overcrowding of beaches last weekend led to the decision to close all beaches in the state and called last weekend’s scenes a “violation of Governor Newsom’s Shelter in Place Order.”
