OPINION (ETH) – If you live in the state of Kentucky and plan on attending an Easter service in a Church somewhere, be prepared for authorities to come knocking on your door. Kentucky Governor.

Andy Beshear had a COVID-19 briefing today in which he stated that police have been given authority to record license plates of any individuals who decide to attend an Easter Sunday service in the Commonwealth. Anyone who attends a service this weekend will be required to be mandatorily quarantined in their homes for 14 days.

Beshear stated “Any individual that’s going to participate in a mass gathering of any type that we know about this weekend – we are going to record license plates, provide it to local health departments – health departments are going to come to your door and with an order for you to be quarantined for 14 days,”

He went on to stress that anyone who attends a weekend Easter service is putting lives in danger. “We shouldn’t have to do this,” he said of the quarantine orders. “What we are asking you to do is not to harm other people, to love your neighbor as yourself.”
