OPINION (ETH) – In many charismatic and pentecostal circles, they say that many times you can gauge how powerful a service is going to be, by the level of adversity that comes with it but a story coming out of Alabama is taking this to a whole new level! The Mobile, Alabama Police Department reported that at approximately 11:23 p.m. on Friday, they responded to a church shooting on Halls Mill Road.

When they arrived, they saw a woman on the ground who had apparently been shot.  According to reports, the woman was attending a women’s conference there at True Cornerstone Church in Mobile, Alabama, and was actually shot by her husband who came to the Church looking for her, according to friends that told WKRG . The pastor of the  Church stated that “It was the second day of the  2020 Women of God Through Promise Conference at on Friday, when the “devil…showed up in a deadly way, according to Pastor Derek Scott Gandy.

According to the pastor of the Church,  both the shooter and his wife were friends of his family but was not available to discuss the incident in detail with The Christian Post on Monday. According to the pastor’s wife, Kula, as soon as the woman was shot by her husband, she started praying right away.

“She was calling on Jesus, even with the bullet in her she was calling on Jesus,” Kula Gandy said. “The Devil is not going to get the victory, at all, he is not going to get the victory,” she said. “To be able to come and pray for her and see she was already looking up that she was already praying that she was already calling on Jesus I already knew Jesus was going to take care of her.”
