OPINION (Charisma) – I was very aware of all of my surroundings in the natural. I was outside at the time while praying, and I could see the trees and clouds. And then suddenly I saw the demonic power hurling down into the earth. It was the only spiritual thing I saw in this vision. The very first time I saw a supernatural gateway open into the spiritual world was while I was praying in tongues. It literally looked like something from a Star Wars movie. Another time, directly after I was praying in tongues, I had an out-of-body encounter in which I went to heaven. On another occasion, while I was praying in tongues in my bedroom, I looked up and saw a heavenly creature standing directly in front of me whose body looked as if it were made of blue flames. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. Praying in tongues is extremely powerful to understand certain kinds of spiritual matters.
1. We can increase our capacity for manifestation. “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit, he speaketh mysteries” (1 Cor. 14:2, KJV). The Scriptures denote that when we speak in tongues, we speak in a mystery. A mystery is simply the hidden wisdom of God (1 Cor. 2:7-10). It would take more than an eternity to even begin to conceive all the knowledge of God because His ways are past finding out. God knows that there are things He wants to do that our lack of faith could possibly hinder. So, in turn, He gives us an unknown tongue to proclaim things that our minds don’t have the capacity to understand in the natural (1 Cor. 14:14). As we pray in this way, the hidden wisdom and revelation of God can be released in the Spirit. The mysteries of what God desires and plans to do are released in faith so that the manifestation has a landing strip—or way to enter the earth. As we proclaim the mysteries of God, we are preparing the way in the Spirit for the next thing God wants to do and open in our lives. CONTINUE
