(Express) – A Chinese tornado has killed six people as it devastated a city in the northeast of China on Wednesday. The powerful tornado ripped through the city of Kaiyuan City as it laid waste to the area. Moreover, reports have stated that on top of the six fatalities, a further 190 people were injured. The ferocious disaster hit the city at around 5.15pm local time (9.15am BST). Although it only lasted for 15 minutes, the

disaster wreaked havoc to department buildings and turned over cars. The shocking twister reached speeds of 50mph as it tore through the city. According to local reports, 210 people were rescued from the city. The city Government confirmed that it was still assessing the damage done to the area.
