OPINION (Christian News Network) – A Presbyterian Church in Ohio held their own sort of drag queen story time last Sunday as the building caretaker dressed in drag and read to the congregation a story about homosexual politician Harvey Milk and the creation of the rainbow flag. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Dan Davidson had previously performed as a drag queen in Seattle, Washington before moving to Ohio and joining Mount Auburn Presbyterian Church, led by Stacey Midge. Davidson is a caretaker for the facility. Last Sunday, Davidson
donned a purple dress and high heels and applied a glitter beard as he presented himself as “Sparkle Leigh.” The service began with the song “God Welcomes All” and then Davidson later took the stage to read the book “Pride: The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag” to children and adults alike. Milk is considered the first openly homosexual elected politician in California and worked as a homosexual rights activist. Acquaintance Gilbert Baker designed the rainbow flag known today as the symbol for homosexual, bisexual and transgender pride. READ MORE
Mount Auburn Presbyterian Church and leader Stacey Midge, I don’t think you realize the gravity of what you have just done. It is completely wrong and you must stop and pray immediately before God judges everyone who was involved with this terrible action. You know this type of thing is an affront to God yet you still did it. Why? I’m sure you think you are in the right but it is totally in the wrong, especially for a church and its leader(s). Allowing this to continue will only mount heaps of coal upon your heads when judgment comes. Pray and repent of these awful actions you have allowed to occur and save your souls before it’s too late.
