(Mirror) – A tsunami warning has been issued after a 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Japan. The tremor hit 52 miles off the northeast of the island of Honshu. Japan’s Meteorological Agency issued a warning of a tsunami up to a meter high along the northwest coast of the main island. The nearness of

the epicenter of the quake to the shore has raised fears about the earthquake’s potential impact. A shake map of the Island of Honshu shows the intensity of the tremors at various locations. At least one part of the island measured a six, which is enough to bring down less earthquake-resistant houses. Some reports have suggested the quake is as much as 6.8 magnitude. READ MORE
