(Express) – Israel has launched an airstrike on a Syrian airbase in Damascus according to reports. The Israeli airstrike hit the Mezzeh air base in the capital city. According to Syrian state news agency, SANA, the missiles were intercepted on the outskirts of the city. The strikes were also intended for the Homs late on Sunday. civilian deaths and injuries in Sahnaya, south of Damascus. It said a baby had been killed in Sahnaya as “a result of the Zionist aggression”. Despite the defense system intercepting some of the missiles launched at the capital, reports have stated that the number of Syrian military sites were hit. Sunday night’s reported attack marks the fourth time the Israeli air force has launched an offensive against Syria.
