OPINION (CBN) – Just days before the midterm elections, now House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) vowed from Harvard University to make passing the “Equality Act” one of her top legislative priorities — and she wasn’t bluffing. The House Judiciary Committee voted last week to advance the deceptively named “Equality Act,” which, according to the conservative legal nonprofit Alliance Defending Freedom, “gives people of faith an ultimatum: Change your faith-based practices or face government punishment.”
If the proposal is approved — which isn’t out of the question, given it has 240 co-sponsors — the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Fair Housing Act would both be amended to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in employment, housing, public accommodations, public education, federal funding and the jury system. The bill would, among a whole host of other things, reverse the Trump administration’s effort to protect employers who object to covering abortion services on religious grounds, a shift away from a controversial policy advanced by the Obama White House. Nancy Pelosi short of calling you personally out I’ll be fair and call out all 240 co-sponsors as well. You are making a grievous mistake attempting to create and pass this “Equality Act,” which, according to the conservative legal nonprofit Alliance Defending Freedom, “gives people of faith an ultimatum: Change your faith-based practices or face government punishment.” I will never, hear me, never change my faith-based practices and so if you do this and my own government is forced to punish those Christians like myself, you shall have a civil war on your hands. Do you think we will just go along with such evil being thrown in our faces? We’re not like the Jews who mostly refused to stand up for their beliefs. You and all who go along with this bill shall share with God’s judgments upon your heads. Not by my hands but His hands. If you don’t believe me, just read some of the Bible’s old testament and you’ll find how God dealt with those opposing Him and his children. Jew or Gentile we are all now God’s children, just some of us are parts of the 10 lost tribes but we remain steadfast to His word.
