(Yahoo) – Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt has warned US officials about what he says could become an unintended escalation of conflict in the Persian Gulf. “We need to make sure that we don’t end up putting Iran back on the path to re-nuclearisation,” he told reporters on Monday, before meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and EU foreign ministers.
The meeting was scheduled to reportedly discuss the possibility of a nuclear arms race in the Middle East shortly after Donald Trump ordered US warplanes and an aircraft carrier to the increasingly unstable region. “We are very worried about conflict, and the risk of a conflict … of an escalation that is unintended,” Mr. Hunt said after arriving in Brussels, according to Reuters. Mr. Hunt also called for “a period of calm so that everyone understands what the other side is thinking.” READ MORE
Britain and other foreign countries need to keep their comments to themselves especially when the leader of NATO decides it’s high time to call Iran’s bluff. They say it will “end up putting Iran back on the path to re-nuclearisation”. You are kidding right? Are you really that stupid to think they haven’t been on that path this entire time? One day the world will wake up to Iran having fired nuclear missiles at Israel and various other Us and ally targets. They don’t care they might cause WW3, as their goal is to wipe out little Satan (Israel) and big Satan (US). One would think other allies would back the US in any efforts or actions to hold Iran in check. It just shows how weak they really are and blind thinking Iran is honoring any and all agreements to not continue re-nuclearisation.
