OPINION (Express) – Cyclone Oma is the Category 2 storm swirling around the northern provinces of Vanuatu, but could the cyclone strengthen to a Category 3 as it hovers over warm waters? The Vanuatu islands have been hit by damaging high winds, heavy rain, flash flooding and phenomenal sea swells
from the tropical cyclone which formed on Tuesday. Islands in Torba and Sanma Provinces of Vanuatu have been the most affected by the cyclone. The National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) has said red alerts are in force for Torba, Sanma and Malampa provinces.
