DEVELOPING: Two powerful earthquakes has rocked the northern Japanese city of Sapporo as a major typhoon has killed at least 10 people in the south of the country. The Magnitude 7 quake hit 112km south
of Sapporo on the island of Hokkaido, according to the US Geological Survey. The tremor struck at an approximate depth of just 10km. The second quake was registered at 6.7 and struck shortly after the first. No tsunami warnings have been issued following the tremor. READ MORE
