Hurrricane Florence is spinning through the open Atlantic Ocean, and while it’s no immediate threat to land, interests in Bermuda should continue to monitor the storm.  Florence was upgraded to the third hurricane of the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season late Tuesday morning. Florence will not affect any land areas for the next five days, moving generally to the northwest.

The twin nemeses of dry air and wind shear – the change in wind direction and/or speed with height – may trigger some weakening of Florence through Friday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
