The copperhead snake was spotted lurking outside a house in Virginia, US, according to shocked workers from Wildlife Management and Control. Video footage shows the scenes they were met with as the reptile twists and turns in an attempt to break free. It was soon posted online, where social media users questioned its authenticity. But the WMC confirmed the photos and video were very much real.

“Absolutely not a fake! We assure you it’s very real and was shedding its skin,” they detailed. Two headed snakes are rare and have a ten-million-to-one chance of survival after birth and can even turn on themselves. “Snakes operate a good deal by smell, and if one head catches the scent of prey on the other’s head, it will attack and try to swallow the second head,” one expert revealed.
