Hurricane Florence has dissipated but the impact it had on the US East Coast was devastating and continues, as flooding is expected to worsen over the coming days. But is there a storm forming from the remnants of Florence in the Atlantic Ocean? Remnants of former Hurricane Florence could re-form in the Atlantic and hit the US East Coast once again, just over a week after the hurricane caused death and devastation in the Carolinas.

Weather forecasters have said it is highly unlikely the storm will be as powerful as Florence but it was possible the tropical storm could impact next week. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) gives the system a 20 percent chance of organizing in five days.
