The above is not the description of a contemporary, prophetic glory conference. It is not the description of a modern revival service. It is Joseph Smith’s description of the dedication of the first Mormon Temple in Kirkland, Ohio in 1831. Many do not realize it, but the early Mormons experienced speaking in tongues, prophecy, falling under the power, visions and angelic visitations.
