Just over a month after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported an increase in tickborne illnesses, a Middle Tennessee high school football player has been hospitalized from a tick and brown recluse bite.  The Mt. Juliet High School football team issued a tweet on Monday asking for

prayers for defensive end Mason Greenwood, a senior at the school.  “No matter what color uniform u wear, or what kind of field you play on, we need ur prayers for 1 of ours. Mason Greenwood, an upcoming SR 4 us, is at Vandy Childrens Hospital & he’s struggling rn. It’s a combo of a brown recluse bite/tick born illness. Please pray 4 him & family.” CONTINUE
