Fort Wayne residents took notice after the local VA Hospital removed military branch flags to fly a LGBT flag in its place.   One resident, in particular, said she noticed the difference when she visited the hospital Tuesday morning, June 12, when she saw the usual military flags were all removed and replaced with a pride flag on the northernmost pole in honor of LGBT pride month.

VA Public Affairs Officer responded to the situation with a statement saying the facility was flying the flag to honor LGBT veterans.   He said due to the limitations in the number of poles outside the VA, the Service Flags were temporarily lowered. He said rather than take one flag down completely, all flags were lowered to be equal.  Here is his full statement: CONTINUE
