(population 26,000), 37.1 km (23.0 miles) NNW of Ashkāsham (population 12 120), 49.6 km (30.8 miles) ENE of Jurm (population 12 106), Afghanistan and 57.8 km (35.9 miles) SSW of Khorugh (population 30 000), Tajikistan.
