“The View” host Joy Behar said on Tuesday that it’s essentially “mental illness” to believe that “Jesus talks to you,” with co-host Sunny Hostin saying that she’s not so sure she wants her “vice president speaking in tongues and having Jesus speak to him.” These comments came during a conversation about Omarosa Manigault Newman, the former “Apprentice” star who briefly became a White House staffer before reportedly being terminated.
Newman made waves this week when she uttered some shocking comments about Vice President Mike Pence’s Christian faith.“As bad as y’all think Trump is, you should be worried about Pence,” she said on CBS’ “Big Brother: Celebrity Edition,” a reality TV show she now appears on after her White House stint. “Everybody that’s wishing for impeachment might want to reconsider their life. Joy, I respect your right to your views. Shame on you for not respecting the rights of Christians to practice their beliefs. What is this? It’s OK to be an atheist or practice any other faith……other than Christianity? Why are you so hateful? I am not a Christian, however I am an American and respect everyone’s right to vote as they see fit, hold office, and to have “FREEDOM OF RELIGION”. Every American has the right to worship as they see fit. I stand up for all Americans……unlike you. I see you for the hateful bigot that you are.
