(By Jason and David Benham) Since we graduated high school in 1994 (dang, we’re getting old!), we’ve made it a goal to read through the Bible every year. This time of year, we end up in the book of Revelation before renewing our commitment to do it all over again. Some years, we just blow through the last book, not fully comprehending everything because of all the end-time prophecies. But this year, given the current sociopolitical context of the sexual revolution, the “great harlot” in Revelation 17 jumped off the pages at us.
Check out Verses 1-2: “Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, ‘Come here, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed acts of immorality and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality’” (Revelation 17:1-2). When I (David) read that, I instantly thought of the radical sexual revolution that is forcing its agenda on the entire world today, in addition to all the recent exposure of sexual misconduct throughout society among the elites.
