Greg Laurie has recently come out stating that he did not say North Korea would wipe out the United States in a nuclear war. The evangelist, who often offers end-times insights, says he was misquoted in an Express UK article. Laurie set the record straight on Facebook:
I never said, “The US to be wiped out by North Korea in a nuclear war.” I said North Korea COULD attack us, and of course, that is potentially true, at least at this moment. The Bible does not mention the USA or North Korea in the end times scenario.I am simply calling believers to pray and take this all seriously. It’s not surprising that you were misquoted, Pastor Laurie, considering the lack of integrity in today’s media. I think you’ll find that most believers in Jesus will pay NO attention to their rantings.
