(By Ron Allen) Recently a celestial configuration in the constellations Virgo and Leo has been put forward as a fulfillment of Revelation 12:1-2 and an end times sign. Revelation 12:1-2 speaks of a woman clothed in the sun with the moon under her feet and a crown of 12 stars. The woman is generally understood to be the constellation Virgo (The Virgin), a picture of a woman, which contains the sun from Sept. 22 to Oct. 30. The moon, which passes through Virgo every month, is found in the feet on Sept. 23, 2017. On that date, the argument goes, the planets Mercury, Mars and Venus come together with the nine
bright stars of the constellation Leo (the lion) to form the 12 stars crowning Virgo. These events, plus the retrograde motion of Jupiter in Virgo, are said to be a very rare celestial event and a sign of the Second Coming. We would agree a celestial event related to the end times should be a very rare occurrence, but, in this case, the event described is not rare at all. The inner planets of Mercury and Venus follow the sun closely and, because of their orbital periods, will return to the same positions annually, as in the case of Mercury’s orbit and five times in eight years because of Venus’. The woman clothed in the sun with the moon under her feet and a crown of 12 stars refers to the Blessed Virgin Mary, not Virgo.
FAIL…What Ron Allen fails to mention is that while each of the elements of the upcomimg astronomical sign are not rare, the simultaneous display of all the elements is, and on the Feast of Trumpets at that. Only once in the last 5,935 years has anything closely resembled as tight an alignment as this. Look up people, your Redemption draws near.
I understand the skepticism of this being interpreted as the revelation 12 sign but the writer of this article missed the entire point. The point is not that the constellation is there with these stars and planets making their annual rounds. The point is that all the alignments of the sun, stars, and planets aligning together AT THE SAME TIME all in one day only occurs once in all of history. The article is quite deceptive.
If this article is saying all this aligns at the SAME TIME every few years they are clearly mistaken. Anyone can calculate this from a constellation chart. When it comes to showing tangible facts, it only occurs once in history…this is easily provable to anyone and anyone can go and fact check this.

I’m shocked you put up things like this… If you’re a watchmen then you should be able to discern the times and promote them, not detract them from others…
Very poorly researched article. Mr. Allen did not obviously study this as he should have. I have checked for this sign in Stellarium backwards and forwards for hundreds of years personally and I know of others who have gone thousands of years. This sign does not happen every 24 years as Mr. Allen states.
