(By Dr. Michael Brown) In the course of one short week, America witnessed an extremely unique solar eclipse and then watched the state of Texas get hit with a catastrophic hurricane. Is God trying to get our attention, or is it foolish (and even dangerous) to speculate like this? On the one hand, we have not had a similar eclipse in America since 1776, as it’s the first total eclipse visible only in the USA since the year of our founding. That is certainly striking.
And, when the path of the next solar eclipse, which is expected in 2024, is charted on a map, it intersects with this year’s eclipse in the form of a giant X over the nation. That is also quite striking. There are other, interesting facts connected to the Aug. 21 eclipse, and an Orthodox rabbi in Israel has pointed out in rabbinic literature, eclipses were signs of judgment (see Sukkah 29a in the Babylonian Talmud). Not only so, but the eclipse came at a dark time in our nation’s history, with deepening divisions on every front. READ MORE
the times they are uh changing. Just pray for our nation and trust in GOD. GOD’s Will will be done. Remember uses men to work his will.
same shit, different headline,.. How many times can you say the same thing over and over a different way,.. just so nobody forgets you? lol
I sense that Dr. Brown says that “Good people that are going through this tragedies, are not supposed to be going through them, because they are good, and God does not judge good people in this manner”. I ask, show me a sinless person today and I might agree with this article. When He created the sun, moon & stars, He specifically said they are for signs and seasons. “ALL have sinned, not SOME but ALL.” Jesus, simply told us that sufferings and challenges are a part of a born-again person, not a good person, how intense and severe these tests and sufferings are they going to be for a good “not-born-again” people?. If we as Christians live a life believing that things are just coincidences, how are we to thank God for providence, of which He makes happen in manners that are miraculous and normal. If all these things that are happening, (by the way they are mentioned in prophecies by Joel, Matthew, Luke, Acts, Revelations to name a few) as signs of the coming of Jesus, how can we try and make a formula to test if they are divine signs, by simply testing if they happen to bad people only. God has said in 1 Cor 6:19 that His temple is the body He created, not buildings made by hands (Acts 17:24). So for a hurricane to hit a church building will not serve any purpose, because it’s not His temple to begin with. His Judgement starts at His house first before the gentiles (research Israel’s punishments versus the rest of the world). His Judgment will first affect His people as an example to others, and then others will see a more severe one. “1 Peter 4: 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?”. Katrina, was seen as a judgement because it did what was very unusual, it took a different direction towards New Orleans but it was not suppose to be going that way, according to ‘experts’. If also it was just a coincidence that it happened after an attempt by US Government to divide the land of Israel, why is that disasters strikes Israel every time USA try to divide Israel for peace. If the rational is that it was during the hurricane season, I ask, why is it is that USA always schedule these kind of peace talks around hurricane seasons? If Christians cant see that GOD controls the weather and for His purpose they obey Him, we will not even recognise the clear and simple sign of the re-birth of Israel as a nation, as and end-time prophecy.
