An Indiana school district has agreed to stop allowing prayers at graduation ceremonies in response to a complaint leveled by a Wisconsin-based atheist group. Elkhart Community Schools received letters of complaint last month from the Freedom From Religion Foundation regarding the practice of prayers at the Roosevelt STEAM Academy graduation ceremonies. FFRF frequently threatens to file lawsuits against schools that allow Christian prayers at student events. In a
response sent late last month, Elkhart Schools District Counsel Chief of Staff W. Douglas Thorne confirmed that the prayer practice would be stopped. “The Elkhart Community Schools understand our obligation to maintain a status of neutrality on matters related to religious belief, and to avoid actions which might be construed as endorsement of any particular religious beliefs,” wrote Thorne. Wrong move, atheists have no Constitutional foot to stand on. Freedom OF religion is a First Amendment guarantee. School districts, heck, even states are free to do whatever they please concerning religion, because the First Amendment is a constraint on CONGRESS and no other entity, either governmental or private. This unconstitutional atheist-group practice of threat through litigation needs to go to the SCOTUS to end it once and for all!

It’s simple. The Christian parents file a countersuit and demand ALL graduation ceremonies be stopped until the matter is heard in court. Additionally, threaten to withold taxes until their rights to freedom of speech and religion is held. Because “taxation without representation is tyranny.” American Christians are too cowardly. And allow anyone and everyone to walk over their rights. Gays, atheists and anyone who chooses to. Because you think you’re not supposed to fight back. Ridiculous!
