Singer Katy Perry launched a marathon weekend of live stream events starting Friday with the release her new album, Witness, and during a live therapy session on Saturday she tearfully talked about her Christian upbringing, feeling “ashamed” of having had suicidal thoughts in the past and God’s grace helping her through. I find it interesting that both Katy Perry and Ariana Grande have struggled with burnout, feelings of suicide, etc. They are rich, talented, beautiful young women with the pressure of perfection on them 100% of the time, which is slavery in the end. There is only freedom in Jesus Christ, who does not demand perfection of us, just that we accept the sacrifice He made for us on the cross and attempt with all our hearts to love Him and to live His way instead of following the world’s ways and our own desires outside of His will. He is the only God who loves us, He is the only one worth following.

I have always believed that Kathryn Hudson will return to the Lord and Katy Perry will cease to exist. This young woman cannot escape God and she herself declared it. God’s Hand is upon her life. I also believe that she will be a witness for Jesus in the last days and many Hollywood celebrities will come to Jesus because of her life and her testimony.
