Tim Allen is no longer the “Last Man Standing.” The sitcom starring the Michigan actor is among a handful of shows cancelled by ABC last week. The show, which ran for six seasons, starred Allen as a “quintessential man’s man” who often cracked jokes about President Barack Obama and the prevalence of political correctness in today’s world. conservative nature of the show and Allen’s tendency to openly criticize Hollywood for its prevailing liberal views, many are pointing to politics, not failing ratings, as the reason for the cancellation. However, in a conference call Tuesday to announce ABC’s fall schedule, entertainment president Channing Dungey said that’s not the case.
